This book is famous for the title of "Minikui Ahiru No Ko" in japan.
Ugly duckling was left out of the duckling brothers. His brothers and mother hated him. So ugly duckling ran away. He met another duck, wild ducks. But they also teased him,
"You can't be a duck!"
"You can't be a duck!"

Because of his color is not duckling's.
A cold day, he saw a flock of swans flying. He finally found that he is a swan, not ugly duckling!
